Man due in court on rioting charges after Markets disorder in Belfast

Trouble flared after Belfast City Council removed bonfire material from the Stewart Street site in the Markets area of Belfast.

Detectives from Musgrave investigating public disorder in the Markets area of Belfast on Monday, 7 August have charged a 22-year-old man with ‘Riot’.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday September 20.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
