Man escapes injury as pipe bomb explodes at house


A man escaped injury after a pipe bomb attack at a house in north Belfast.

The device exploded shortly before 11pm on Thursday outside the door of the property in Carlisle Square.

Damage was caused to the doorway and while the male occupant, aged in his 20s, was not injured, he was left badly shaken.

A motive for the attack has not been established, police said.
