Man escapes injury in west Belfast shooting

A man has escaped injury in a shooting incident at a flat in Forfar Street, west Belfast.

Police are investigating a motive for the shooting which happened around 10.30pm on March 7.

A PSNI spokesman said during the incident a number of shots were fired into the front door of the flat.

One man was in the flat at the time but was not injured.

Detective Inspector Pete Mullan has appealed to anyone who was in the area of Forfar Street on Monday evening and who may have noticed any suspicious activity to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
