Man shot in legs in paramilitary-style attack

A man has been shot in both legs in a paramilitary style shooting in the Ardmonagh Gardens area of west Belfast last night.

Shortly before 9pm police received a report that a man had been shot in both legs.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
