Man threatened with knife during Newtownabbey hijacking

A man was threatened with a knife before his car was stolen in Newtownabbey on Friday evening.

The driver of the black Volkswagen Golf was approached by an unknown male, police said, who had come out of a silver People carrier in a retail park at Longwood Road at around 7.30pm.

He hijacked the car after threatening his victim with a knife.

Three men aged in their 20s were arrested in west Belfast on Saturday afternoon in relation to the incident.
