Police have charged 15 people after Coleraine disorder

Police have charged a total of fifteen people in connection with disorder in Coleraine on 01 July as part of Operation Chimera.

All have been charged with provocative conduct and disorderly behaviour. Thirteen people were due in court on Friday morning and two people appeared in court previously.

Three of the fifteen people charged are women, one was a male juvenile and of the others, ages range from 19 to 47.

The police operation began on Monday 4 August but has been in the planning phase for the last number of weeks. Officers have been collecting and assessing evidence since the start of July.
