Police say the discovery of a man’s body in the Portrush area on Wednesday evening is not being treated as suspicious.

Although the body, of a man in his twenties, has not formally been identified the PSNI believe it may be the body of missing person Marc McKay, also known as Adam McKay.

The Dungannon man went missing from Portrush on the morning of Sunday 3 August.

At that time police said Adam McKay was known to family and friends as Marc McKay. The 24-year-old was last seen in the Harbour area of Portrush at around 1am on Sunday morning.

Marc is 5’11”, of slim build with short spiked dirty fair hair. He was wearing a short sleeved blue denim type shirt and light blue denim jeans on the night he went missing.

His family and friends became increasingly concerned as the hours and days passed and police said they were keen to hear from anyone who saw or spoke with Marc in the early hours of 3 Sunday morning or during Saturday night.
