Seven detained after Belfast city disorder


A woman is reported to have been bitten by a police dog as disturbances broke out in parts of south and east Belfast yesterday.

The PSNI said the woman and a man were injured during an incident at Central train station and that a report will be sent to the Police Ombudsman.

Police also dealt with disorder in Castlereagh Street and the Ormeau Park area, making seven arrests.

A man in his 40s was detained in Castlereagh Street and six males were arrested in Ormeau Park on suspicion of public order related offences.
