An attack on a young woman in south Belfast has sparked “shared revulsion” from across the community, according to one politician.

Police said on Wednesday that a woman, believed to be in her 20s,was attacked by an unknown group of males in the Newtown Park area.

Yesterday, DUP councillor Nathan Anderson condemned the incident and called it “out of character with the generally peaceful nature of the area”.
