Women’s car hijacked at Belfast cemetery


Two elderly women have been left shaken after their car was hijacked in west Belfast at the City Cemetery on Monday.

The incident happened on the Falls Road around 3.05pm.

A PSNI spokesman said one of the women, aged in her 60s was assaulted, before her blue Renault Modus car was taken.

She did not require medical attention.

However, the second woman, aged in her 70s was not assaulted but left “shaken”.

The car was later found burnt out in the Norglen Parade area of West Belfast.
