IT'S not everyday I go into work and am offered to be cured by a spiritual healer.
However, not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I thought “Why the heck not? I’ll give anything a go once.”
Like many people, I had been a tad sceptical as to the benefits and results of spiritual healing.
But putting my preconceptions aside I asked Bill Sohan, a distance and contact healer for humans and animals from London to “please rid me of the stress I’m feeling today”.
Yes I know, receiving treatment to decrease stress in the environs of your workplace is hardly the ideal place for it.
“If any spiritual healer tells you they can work miracles, they’re conning you,” he told me, dampening my hopes of a stress-free day but making me warm towards his honesty.
“We hope to see at least a 20 per cent improvement after the first session, and a gradual improvement thereafter.”
Stress is the “key underlying factor” to nearly all conditions, he said, before channelling warm energy through my body by way of laying his hands on me.
“The first thing you’ll feel when you have a healing session is relaxed. If you can break the stress up you are part of the way to solving the problem.”
Bill’s calling as a healer took off following an article published in the News Letter over four years ago. Since then his healing powers are believed to have helped cure a growing number of animals and people from different ailments and illnesses.
“I cannot thank the News Letter enough for that article; it was a life-changing event for me,” he said.
“Since that time my healing abilities and practice have grown from strength to strength.”
Bill, 59, whose wife sadly died two years ago, mainly works from his home when doing distance healing (also referred to as absent healing) and is willing to travel anywhere in the world to adminster contact healing.
A science graduate of London University, where he achieved a first class honours in Biochemistry in 1969, Bill has been a full healer member of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers since 1989, a member of the World Federation of Healing for over three years and a Reiki Master since 1998.
Originally from New Delhi, he has also had over 15 years’ experience working with Angelic energies and over 10 years’ experience working with Crystal energies and has various testimonies to back up his contact and healing expertise. On top of this he also works as a wholesale importer of ladies’ fashions.
On his website (www.billlynneharry.co.uk) there are numerous references to Bill’s gift of healing.
Kevin Taylor said: “Bill kindly helped my late cat, Puss, through quite a severe illness. The healing provided helped her to cope so much more calmly.”
For eight years Dr Helen Boynton has availed of Bill’s skills as a healer.
“My daughter had advice on a very painful toothache, then a bad bout of flu. My husband has a severe allergy problem and liver complaint,” Dr Boynton said.
“I myself have allergies, osteopathy and neck and jaw problems. We are all making progress, although mine and my husband’s are long term.”
Four-and-a-half years ago Magherafelt woman Lorraine Gallagher’s 12-year-old dog Kerrie was diagnosed with liver cancer.
Of the treatment Kerrie received, she has nothing but praise for Bill.
“In spite of all the negative predictions, Kerrie responded to the healing energies channelled by Bill and after what we now know to have been a ‘healing crisis’, she quickly showed small signs of improvement,” she said.
“These continued progressively and consistently until it was clear to everyone that her liver was once again healthy and functioning as nature intended.”
And so, the million dollar question – did Bill help rid me of stress after our half-an-hour contact healing session? Well he certainly made me feel more relaxed until, that was, I was tasked with writing this piece on him!
Regarding distance healing Bill explains: “With distance healing a subject 10,000 miles away can receive the benefits just as much as someone having contact healing in the presence of the healer.”
