A school said that it had made a counsellor available to pupils following the death of a 14-year-old Dungannon student.

David Shrestha was a Royal School student who played rugby with Dungannon’s Bluebulls and was a keen swimmer.

The PSNI said: “Police attended the sudden death of a teenage boy in Dungannon yesterday morning, Saturday, September 10.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”

The school said that it would be opening its doors on Sunday between 2pm-4pm “for anyone to drop in and be together”, with staff and a counsellor available to talk to people.

Any young person who feels a need to speak to someone about their problems can ring Childline, even if they have no credit.

Their number is 0800 1111.

The Samaritans also offer a free and confidential helpline service 24-hours a day, every day of the year.

That number is 116 123.
