Police have appealed for witnesses after a report of a burglarly in east Belfast.

Detective Constable Arnott said the PSNI had received a report that entry was gained to a residential premises in Belle Bashford Court on the Woodstock Road in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

"We are appealing to anyone that may have any information or to anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 73 of the 07/02/17," he said.

"Alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
