Belfast Rose Week 2014
Belfast Rose Week 2014

The 50-year-old rose garden at Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park resembled something of an Eden yesterday while Rose Week was underway, with thousands of people making their way to south Belfast to admire the blooms.

International judges from as far away as New Zealand and the US yesterday cast their expert eyes over 27 competition roses each battling for honours.

Rose Week continues until Sunday, offering a host of family entertainment with music, dance, street entertainers and a special 40-metre zipline across the garden on the last day. Most activities run between 1pm to 5pm each day.
