Europe in Bible Prophecy

EU membership is currently a leading news item and every day we are given an update by journalists of the latest argument being made by those in the two major camps, who are either for or against the UK remaining within the European Union.

It seems that everyone has an opinion to give or a statement to make on the subject!

But the question that should concern Bible-believing Christians is: What saith the Scriptures?

What does the Word of God have to say on the subject of the future of Europe?

That should be our response to every situation and subject in life and our nation’s membership of the European Union should be no different.

Despite what many think or say, even many Christians, the Word of God has much to say about the future of Europe and the Nations around the Mediterranean Sea.

God has not left us in the dark with regard to these things. In the prophetic Scriptures God has given us a full description of things to come.

In summary, this Union of Nations will:

1.Bring to a close the Times of the Gentiles spoken of by the Lord Jesus (Luke 21:24).

2.It will be a revival of the old Roman Empire (Daniel 2:28, 33, 41- 43 & 7:24).

3.It will cover the same area around the Mediterranean Sea as the old Roman Empire. An area known to students of Prophecy as the Roman Earth or the Prophetic Earth (Daniel 7:2 & 3 & Luke 2:1).

4.When it reaches its final formation it will be divided into ten regions (Daniel 2:41 & 7:24).

5.It will ultimately become the Kingdom of the Anti-Christ and only those who take his mark will be able to buy or sell (Revelation 13:15 -17).

6.It will be destroyed by the Coming again of the Lord Jesus (Dan 2:44 & 45).

In the light of all that the Lord has revealed to us about the future of Europe we believe that this is something of which no Christian would want to be a part.
