Fermanagh Twelfth demonstration 2008 - Parade details

The Co Fermanagh demonstration will be held in the village of Kesh this year.

The assembly field is on the Ederney Road and the parade will move off at 12.30pm via Ederney Road, Station Road, Main Street, Roscolban Avenue to the demonstration field at Mantlin Road.

Lodges from Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim and Monaghan will lead the parade as the 15 districts from throughout Fermanagh fall in behind.

County Grand Master Tom Elliott will chair proceedings at the field and the guest speaker will be Mervyn Lindsay, Deputy Grand Chaplain,City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge.

The praise will be led by Kilskeery Silver Band.

Orangefest Fermanagh – a celebration of culture and heritage – will be held in the days leading up to the Twelfth.

On Tuesday, July 8, a commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the end of World War One will be held at the Lough Erne Hotel at 8pm. The N.I. Corps of Drums, the USC Historical Platoon and the Ulster Cultural and Historical Society will provide an evening of music and nostalgia.

On Thursday, July 10, a country and gospel concert will be held in the hotel at 8pm and on Friday, July 11, a large fireworks display with lambeg drums, fifers and pipers will be held at Drumrush Lodge, Kesh, at 11pm.
