Five injured in separate road crashes


Three people have been taken to hospital after a road accident in Londonderry.

A teenage boy is in a critical condition, while two females aged in their twenties are said to be in serious conditions after the one-vehicle crash on the Victoria Road in Newbuildings.

The blue Lexus car is reported to have gone off the road at around 5.55am on Saturday, police said.

The road re-opened around 3pm on Saturday.

Meanwhile the Ballylagan Road in Coleraine re-opened on Saturday morning after a car carrying two females hit a wall near the junction of the Cloyfin Road.

The females, one in her teens and the other in her 20s, were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the incident at around 11.25pm on Friday.
