Funeral tomorrow for hit-and-run victim James Shields

The funeral service for hit-and-run road victim James Shields will take place tomorrow.

The 52-year-old from outside Markethill in Co Armagh was found dead by the roadside at Shillinghill Road on Monday morning.

Mr Shield’s funeral will start from his home tomorrow at 11.30am to Cladymore Presbyterian Church for a Service at 12 noon followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

His death insertion says he will be mourned by siblings Louella, Walter, Evelyn, Lydia, Noeleen, Winston and wide family circle.

Earlier Detective Inspector Colin Patterson appealed to “anyone who was travelling along the Shillinghill Road before 7am on

May 13 and who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who has any information about it to contact Police at Armagh on the non-emergency number 101”.”
