The News Letter app has been going from strength to strength since it was launched just before Christmas.

Readers have contacted us to tell us their views on having access to all the latest news, sport, columns and other features anywhere, any time.

From 93-year-old James Warnock who said he enjoys the extensive content and being able to zoom in and out of pages, to the reader who called to say they enjoyed that day’s crossword from the warmth of his bed at 5am as the rain kept him from sleep.

So why not sign up and check out the App for youself. The first 30 days are free.

As well as all the content from that day’s paper, access to archive editions and current digital coverage, the app’s Saturday edition provides up-to-date football coverage, as part of our new Saturday Night Live feature.

Developed by Pagesuite Ltd, the app will work on devices including the new Amazon Kindle Fire, the Google Nexus 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Alex Gubbay, director of digital platforms, said: “The range of more affordable tablet devices now available is expanding rapidly.

“Our new iPad and Android apps allow us to tap into this growing trend and learn how best to offer users the best from their local title in a more dynamic, convenient way.”
