After a weekend of sun and rain we are still in store for “a mixed bag of weather”, according to meteorologist Paul Arbuckle.

“There is a low across Northern Ireland just now which won’t clear until Monday afternoon,” he said. “Monday morning will be cloudy with showery rain, mostly in the north of the Province.

“But some brighter spells will develop in the south and west - Omagh and Fermanagh. From late morning, you should expect a few isolated light showers across the north and east of Northern Ireland.

“Temperatures on Monday will be from 16-18 degrees Celsius.”

Weather on the Twelfth is expected to follow the same pattern of “sunshine and showers”, according to Mr Arbuckle.

“Overnight on Monday into Tuesday it will be mostly dry and mild - but Tuesday will see sunshine and showers,” he added.

“There should be relatively few showers in the morning, but many more in the afternoon, particularly in the east of Northern Ireland.

“However, the north and west will see brighter spells whilst heavy showers will be dominant in the east and south or from Larne to Newry.”

The temperature tomorrow is expected to remain around 16 - 17 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday Ulster folk are still advised to keep their umbrellas handy with even more sunshine and showers in store. Temperatures will remain around 16-17 degrees and will feel humid.
