It’s all ‘app’ening at News Letter

NEWS Letter readers are keeping up to date with the news over the Christmas holidays with our brand new app.

As part of our plans to keep the News Letter publishing for another 275 years we will continue our transition into the digital age with an iPad news app – offering even more unique content and digital editions of one of the oldest newspapers in the English-speaking world.

The News Letter is one of 18 Johnston Press titles to launch iPad and Android apps, bringing all the latest, news, features and sport to our readers where and when they want it.

The apps – which are available from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore – all feature the latest digital content from each title, as well as full versions of the newspaper and print supplements.

Developed by Pagesuite Ltd, the app will work on devices including the new Amazon Kindle Fire, the Google Nexus 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Alex Gubbay, director of digital platforms, said: “The range of more affordable tablet devices now available is expanding rapidly.

“Our new iPad and Android apps allow us to tap into this growing trend and learn how best to offer users the best from their local title in a more dynamic, convenient way.”

The apps are all free to use for the first 30 days. A monthly subscription charge then applies for most of the apps.
