MUSIC icon Fatboy Slim is set to descend on Belfast for a landmark event later this year.

Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, will make history on May 8th as the first artist to perform a concert at Giant's Park in the city, located on the North Foreshore of Belfast Lough.

Ulster's music enthusiasts will be able to dance under the sun to the party vibes of one of electronic music's favourite stars as Fatboy Slim delivers a magical party atmosphere in the heart of our capital city.

Promoter Eddie Wray said: "This is one of our proudest moments so far; to finally bring the legendary Fatboy Slim and a host of top guests to an exciting new Belfast concert site with all the fun of the fair, special late finish and fantastic high tech show."

From playing to 250,000 people in his home town of Brighton to headlining Glastonbury and obtaining Number one hits, Fatboy Slim is both a pioneer and true superstar of his profession.

Cook is best known for tracks like 'Praise You', 'Right Here, Right Now', 'The Rockafeller Skank' and 'Gangster Tripping'.

He has also produces four solo artist albums and headlined major global festivals, including the renowned Glastonbury.

Tickets - starting from 39.95 plus booking fees to 64.95 plus booking fees (VIP) - go on sale at 9am on Friday 5th February from Ticketmaster.
