Four teenagers arrested after car-jackings
Four teenagers have been arrested by police in west Belfast after a spate of car-jackings.
Two women were pulled out of a parked car in the Slievegallion Drive area by masked men, one of the men having been armed with a knife. The PSNI said the stolen car was stopped by police in Dunmurry following a short pursuit.
The suspects, two aged 17, one aged 18 and one aged 19, were arrested at around 12.55am on Saturday morning. They were released on police bail pending further inquiries later the same day.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Police Ombudsman is investigating a three-car collision involving a PSNI vehicle just after 10pm on Saturday night.
It is suspected that one of the cars involved was a stolen vehicle. Two people were arrested at the scene, at a garage on Clifton Street in north Belfast.
The PSNI said two 25-year-old men arrested following the collision were released on Saturday on police bail pending further inquiries.
