Man escapes injury in Newry shooting

TWO shots have been fired at a house in an overnight attack on an address in Newry.

The incident happened in the Altnaveigh Park area of the city at approximately 11.30pm on Monday night.

The occupant of the house - a male - escaped injury.

The back door of the property is believed to have been damaged in the attack.

A police spokesperson confirmed that a motive has yet to be established.

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information.
