Police probe petrol bomb attack

TWO people have escaped injury following an overnight petrol bomb attack in Maghera.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident in the Coronation Villas area of the Co Londonderry town.

At approximately 11.45pm on Monday, the window of a house was broken.

A petrol bomb was then thrown at a car which was set alight. The vehicle was damaged as well as scorch damage caused to the house.

A 46-year-old male and 27-year-old female were in the house, according to a PSNI spokesperson.

Police have appealed for information.
