Six arrested in dissident probe
SIX men have been arrested in a "pro-active" operation against dissident republican activity.
The males were detained by officers from the PSNI's serious crime branch after two cars were searched in the west Belfast area on Tuesday night.
A firearm and a number of other items were seized and removed for forensic examination, according to a police spokesman.
All six suspects are currently being questioned at Antrim serious crime suite.
