YOUR TRIBUTES: Armed Forces Day
LEAVE your tributes to 'our heroes' ahead of the first Armed Forces Day.
On Saturday, the nation will have the opportunity to recognise the efforts of the men and women that make up the armed forces community - veterans, current members and recruits.

The day will also afford the British public the opportunity to salute the bravery and dedication of our troops.
The high regard in which the efforts of Ulstermen and women positioned on the front line are held was illustrated in a series of homecoming parades last year.
In November, an estimated 60,000 people filed onto the streets of Belfast to welcome the troops home from stints in Afghanistan.
UUP MLA Tom Elliott welcomed the concept behind the first ever Armed Forces Day on June 27.
"The allocation of a dedicated day, when people can come together to show their appreciation and support for the Armed Forces, is an appropriate gesture from an indebted public," he said.
"Members of the Armed Forces, full time and territorial, past and present, are deserving of our support and recognition. They, and their families, make personal sacrifices that many of us could scarcely comprehend to protect our interests."
The day is expected to be recognised across the Province.
The Armed Forces flag will be raised at Belfast City Hall on Saturday.
A series of events are also being held all week in Carrickfergus.
