Loughinisland Mark 2 but still not SF-IRA Mark 1

It must never be forgotten that the primary lawbreakers were the murderers at Loughinisland.

An Ombudsman’s office which seems to be open to a policy of “here is my report, but, if you don’t like it, I can change it”, has a credibility problem.

When it comes to collusion, there needs to be an equal, but presently absent, focus on how far the present head of government, McGuinness, colluded, or worse, in IRA murders.

Why do we hear no talk of this from those so eager to kick the RUC?

The reason and motive of many is obvious.

While we have now got Loughinisland Mark 2 , we are still waiting for Sinn Fein/IRA collusion Mark 1.

It is such one way traffic on investigating the past which leaves many identifying a malign agenda.

This does not mean lawbreaking, wherever it occurred and by whom, should not be pursued. Quite the reverse, but that pursuit has to be even-handed.
