The Parades Commission lists 39 bands as being in the running to take part.

It has the backing of all the major loyal orders.

Chairman Kenneth Montgomery said: “Bannerfest is a unique event and a fitting tribute to our relatives and all who served their King and country during a terrible and bloody war.

“Our committee is pleased to have the official support from the heads of the main Loyal Orders and we invite all Loyal Order Colours to mass and parade in Dungannon where you, your family and friends will be warmly welcomed as we gather with pride to remember.”
