Man attacked by masked men armed with bricks

Detectives are appealing for information following an assault that occurred in the Lichfield Avenue area of East Belfast on Friday evening (February 10).

Just after 9.25pm it was reported to police that a man had been assaulted by three masked men, who were armed with bricks, in an alleyway.

The 35 year old man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Sergeant McCambridge said: “I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1246 of 10/02/17.
