Man hurt in Belfast neighbourhood's second shooting in under a month

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was injured in a 'punishment style shooting' in west Belfast.

A man in his 20s was shot in his leg in the Ardmonagh Parade area at 7.40pm on Thursday, the PSNI said.

Ardmonagh Parade (off Norglen Parade, not far from the Springfield Road) is a fairly small cul-de-sac-style street containing flats and terraced houses.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Woodbourne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
