A man in his 30s has died suddenly in Banbridge.

Police attended the scene of the sudden death of a man, aged in his 30s, in a house in the Golf Terrace area of Banbridge last night (Thursday, August 3).

A spokesperson for the PSNI said that a post mortem examination will take place in due course to determine the cause of death.

Speaking on the issue DUP MLA Carla Lockhart said: “My thoughts and prayers are very much with the family of the deceased. It is such a sad situation that a young man’s life has ended in its prime. This is the second sudden death in the constituency in two days and to that end the community is coming to terms with the fact that two young lives have been lost.”
