A new portrait to mark the Queen’s six decades as patron of the British Red Cross has been unveiled by the monarch at Windsor Castle.

The Henry Ward artwork (right) depicts the head of state wearing her flowing garter robes as she sits in Windsor Castle’s White Drawing Room.

She is the longest-serving patron of the charity.
