News Letter tops poll for web growth in the UK

A increase in readership by 66% has seen the News Letter top the charts for year-on-year web growth in the latest industry-wide circulation figures.

In the second half of 2016, ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations) figures have shown the paper posted the largest increase in daily average unique browsers compared with the same period the previous year.

The website recorded an average of 20,336 unique browsers each day.

Meanwhile the News Letter also finished sixth in the table for titles with the lowest decline in newspaper circulation over the second half of 2016.

Editor Alistair Bushe said: “I’m absolutely delighted that we increased our digital audience so significantly over the second half of 2016.”

He added: “To grow more than any other regional news website in the UK during that period is a brilliant achievement and testament to hard work and excellent journalism.”
