21st anniversary for Janus awards

Trevor Annon, the founder of the Mount Charles Group has received a lifetime award for services to the hospitality industry at the 21st annual Janus Awards' gala awards.

Mr Annon was among a host of professionals gathered at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Belfast last weekend, when he was honoured with the award for Outstanding Contribution to the industry.

Michael Cafolla, Chairman of the Institute of Hospitality Northern Ireland was delighted about the “resounding success” of the event.

“The standard of entries for this year surpassed our expectations with not only a record number of applicants, but also the high quality of entries, which re-inforces why Northern Ireland’s hospitality offerings are recognised as one of the best in the UK.

“Congratulations to each and every winner with a special mention to Trevor Annon chairman of The Mount Charles Group, who is extremely deserving of his award.

“This acknowledges his Outstanding Contribution to the Hospitality Industry since employing over 2,000 people and achieving an impressive £30 million turnover.
