The purchase of this prestigious brand fits perfectly with Ulster’s philosophy of acquiring high quality and profitable businesses in the floor covering sector.

Headquartered in Herefordshire with a showroom in Chelsea, Roger Oates Design hand crafts its own range of distinctive fabric for use as stair runners, and related interior furnishing products.

The acquisition is being funded from cash reserves and reflects Ulster’s desire to broaden the Group by selectively adding outstanding business where the opportunity arises.

“In 2016 alone we have invested more than £10 million in our own new manufacturing operations at Portadown and added a major brand to our business.

Despite the uncertainties of the macro-economics Ulster Carpets are clearly focussed on the many positive opportunities open to the company here and internationally.
