Belfast man accused of assaulting six women in one day

A man has appeared in court accused of assaulting six women in Belfast on the same day.

Gavin William McConway allegedly committed the offences at an undisclosed location in the city last August.

The 34-year-old, of Greenan, Belfast, is charged with three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and a further three common assaults.

At the city’s magistrates’ court on Wednesday he was remanded on continuing bail to return to court next month.

McConway is expected to enter his plea at his next appearance.
