A spurned lover bombarded his ex-girlfriend with unwanted bunches of flowers and sent an e-mail depicting him with a noose around his neck, a court heard on Thursday.
Colin Murphy also phoned her hundreds of times and damaged her front door, prosecutors said.
The 47-year-old defendant, of Madras Street in Belfast, admitted charges of harassment and criminal damage.
With sentencing deferred until next month, a judge warned him to have no further contact with the victim.
Belfast Magistrates’ Court heard Murphy had dated the woman between January and June this year.
But after she ended the relationship weeks of alleged harassment ensued.
The woman told police she was receiving two bunches of flowers and other gifts every week.
