The body of Simon Chase, who died in a suicide bomb whilst working for the EU police mission in Afghanistan, has arrived home to his family in Limavady.
Mr Chase, originally from Chester, died in a suicide bomb attack in Kabul nine days ago.
He was one of 21 people killed when a bomb was detonated outside the gates of a heavily fortified restaurant.
Mr Chase had lived in the Co Londonderry town with his partner and two sons.
A book of condolence for Mr Chase has been opened in Limavady.
His funeral is expected to be held at 11am on Tuesday at Christ Church in Limavady.
