Claire Sugden is new Justice Minister

The first and deputy first minister have just announced at Stormont that the independent unionist MLA will take up the executive role.

Ms Sugden, an assembly member for East Londonderry, succeeds Alliance leader David Ford, who turned down the job.

Mrs Foster said: “This is a good day for Northern Ireland, the people will have a government in place today.”
