Any republicans who break Parades Commission restrictions at a hunger strike march this weekend must face prosecution.
That was the call yesterday from the DUP’s Lord Morrow, ahead of Sunday’s Sinn Fein commemoration in Derrylin.
The commission has expressly forbidden any paramilitary trappings at the afternoon event, but Lord Morrow said previous years have involved “drums with images of rocket launchers”, among other offensive items.
He added: “If the restrictions for Derrylin are breached, then prosecutions must follow”.
The TUV’s Jim Allister said the whole commemoration event showed that “Sinn Fein remain wedded to the deeds of their blood soaked IRA”.
