Police in Newtownabbey are appealing for information after a house was left badly damaged in an overnight arson attack in Carrickfergus.
Shortly after 1am it was reported that an oil tank and a house had been set on fire in the Broadlands Gardens area.
A PSNI spokesman said: “Police and NIFRS attended the scene.
“Substantial damage was caused to the house and damage was also caused to two adjoining properties in the incident.
“There were no reports of any injuries.”
The PSNI spokesman said police are “treating this as arson with intent to endanger life and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact CID at Newtownabbey Police Station on 0845 600 8000”.
