A District Judge who was filmed downing a shot and neknominating someone else to do the same has acknowledged the her behaviour was ‘foolish’.
Rosemary Watters was seen in a clip posted online taking part in the Internet drinking game craze.
The clip was taken at a family event, according to her office, and a statement released yesterday said she recognised her “foolish behaviour” and added she would discourage anyone from doing what she did.
The craze, thought to have originated in Australia, has been widely condemned following the deaths of two men in the Republic at the weekend.
Both tragedies are thought to be linked to the game, where in many cases people drink different alcohols mixed with other substances - anything from yoghurt to milk - and then post videos online before nominating others to do the same kind of dare.
