A 41-year-old man appeared in court on Saturday in relation to an incident where boiling water was thrown over a three-year-old girl and two men in Ballyward, Co Down.
The suspect was charged on Friday night with grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He appeared before Newry Magistrates Court.
The charges are in connection with an incident in the Drumlin Grange area on Thursday night.
A kettle of hot water was thrown over two men aged 34 and 36 and a the young girl.
One man suffered 10 per cent burns to his body, mainly to his back, while the child suffered minor burns to her face.
