Man remains critical following east Belfast incident

A man who was attacked in the early hours of the morning in Belfast remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The PSNI re-issued its appeal for information over the assault on Monday evening.

It had taken place at about 2.30am on Sunday in Templemore Avenue, inner-east Belfast.

The victim is aged 32, and was assaulted by an unknown male.

Detective Inspector Joanne Harris said: “I continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this assault, or who has any information about it, to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
