Man's body recovered from River Lagan

The body of a man has been recovered after three days of searching at the River Lagan in Belfast.

It was originally reported that a man had entered the water close to Donegall Quay around 5pm on Friday evening.

A member of the public had attempted to rescue him but was unsuccessful.

It is believed the man’s body was recovered from the water at around 5pm on Sunday.

The PSNI and the Belfast Community Rescue Service were involved in the search.
