Murder probe after man shot in south Belfast

A murder investigation is under way after a 28-year-old man died following a gun attack at a house.

Four men forced their way into the property in Walmer Street in south Belfast at around 10.45pm on Thursday and shot the man inside.

He was taken to hospital but later died of his injuries.

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Campbell is appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area, or who knows anything about this incident, to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
