North Antrim: The final countdown

The final outcome of the 2016 Assembly election in North Antrim will be revealed later this morning.

Counting began again at 9am at the Seven Towers Leisure Centre in Ballymena.

Jim Allister, the TUV leader, Paul Frew and Mervyn Storey, both DUP, were deemed elected yesterday.

The most likely outcome this morning would seem to be the election of Daithi McKay of Sinn Fein with Robin Swann (UUP) and Philip Logan (DUP) .

Logan, it would seem, will be taking up the seat of party colleague, David McIlveen, who was eliminated last night.
