Police are appealing for information after a man who stopped to help a young woman who appeared to be in difficulties had his vehicle stolen. The incident happened in the Hightown Road area of Glengormley in the early hours of yesterday. A PSNI spokesman said when he got out of his car a young male kicked him and hit him on the arm with a bottle, before further males made off in his Ford Focus car. The car was later found burnt in a car park on the Park Road in Mallusk.

The victim was not injured in the incident.
