PSNI appeal after fatal collision

Police investigating a fatal collision in south Belfast last night are appealing for witnesses.

Shortly before 9.30pm a silver coloured Peugeot 307 car left the carriageway on the Upper Malone Road and struck a tree.

The male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The road was closed for a number of hours following the collision but has since reopened.

PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit is keen to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area of the Milltown Road/Upper Malone Road just prior to the time of the collision and who may have seen the Peugeot in the area. The number to call is 101.
